Night of the witches, Eve of the Dead; Halloween is known by many names, but has one main goal: to celebrate the end of the harvest season. It is a Christian syncretism of the Samhain celebration of Celtic origin in Galicia.
On that day, the spirits roam the streets, asking for candies from door to door, saying “Trick or Treat”. Then, all the goodies are kept in the Peremende Bag.
For this celebration you will carry the bag “Peremende”, which in Swahili means “Candy”. This bag is made out of 100% cotton black canvas fabric, with a size of 35cm (W) x 30cm (L). It has an 80cm long handle to put it on your shoulder and cross it up to your waist, thus freeing your hands for handling the many goodies.
The Peremende bag has a design fitting to the occasion, with an orange lid printed with spiderwebs and spiders. The outside of the lid has two eyes and two blank teeth, giving a feeling of a monster bag. At the same time, it allows you to safely hide all your treats inside.
Please do not forget to keep the wrappings in the bag, too or to dispose of them appropriately. Remember that caring for the environment is everyone's duty. Thank you!
